iPOTT, a unique Web portal which lists software developed across the world provides innovative services that help the IT and ITES market. iPOTT has recently conducted a survey to identify the Strengths(S), Weaknesses(W), Opportunities(O) and Threats(T) – SWOT of the Indian Software market.
Top level management of various companies participated in the survey and provided some invaluable information to complete the SWOT analysis.

A SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats involved in a project or in a new venture. It may be used in any decision-making situation when a desired end-state (objective) has been defined. It is particularly helpful in identifying the areas for development.
- Strengths: attributes that are internal and helpful to achieving the objective(s).
- Weaknesses: attributes that are internal and harmful to achieving the objective(s).
- Opportunities: external conditions that are helpful to achieving the objective(s).
- Threats: external conditions which could do damage to the objective(s).
