Apple Inc. has filed a patent infringement against HTC on 2nd March 2010 at the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
This centers around 20 patent infringements relating to iPhone’s user interface, underlying architecture and hardware.
Apple Inc. also filed a complaint against HTC under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (as amended) at United States International Trade Commission, Washington, D.C.
“We can sit by and watch competitors steal our patented inventions, or we can do something about it. We’ve decided to do something about it,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We think competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours”.
